CONTROL Resonant on PlayStation 5
The PlayStation Store lists CONTROL Resonant for PS5 only and marks it PS5 Pro Enhanced. Remedy’s Thomas Puha set out the performance modes and controller features in a PlayStation Blog post, so the frame rates and resolutions below are the studio’s targets. Control Resonant is a gameplay-driven experience, built with 60fps performance in mind from the beginning, as feel and responsiveness take top priority.

The base PS5 has two modes, and the post says so in one sentence: “On PlayStation 5, the game offers Performance and Quality modes.” The Balanced row is blank for that console because the post lists it only for the Pro. How the game holds those targets on other platforms is covered on the frame rate and modes page.
What the DualSense and the console add
- Adaptive triggers. Remedy’s designers used them to give combat abilities a tactile feel. The post names Barrage and the Volatile Anomaly as abilities that push back at different strengths when you pull the triggers. The store listing agrees on the basics: “Vibration function and trigger effect supported (DualSense wireless controller)”. Listed on PlayStation Store (US): CONTROL Resonant
- 3D Audio. “Our audio team has also ensured 3D Audio support, adding another layer of sonic immersion with a compatible headset.”
- Activities and Game Help. The post says “you can track your main story quest progress through Activities. Game Help will also be available post-launch.” How long that main story runs is on the how long to beat page.
- PS4. The studio’s platform list does not include PS4, and the PlayStation Store page lists PS5 only.
Edition, early access and disc
The PlayStation Store carries the same US prices as the other stores: $59.99 for the Standard Edition and $69.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition, compared on the price page. The early window is a PlayStation Store feature of the Deluxe Edition. Its page reads “48 hour early access starting 22nd September 2026”, and the digital release everywhere else unlocks on 24 September at 14:00 UTC. PlayStation’s store pages list an Occult Outfit among the pre-order bonuses, next to the Hiss Corruption Outfit and the Pickpocket’s Tool Artifact that the studio’s FAQ lists.
