Where it runs, and the rows nobody has answered
A store page that does not list a platform is not the studio saying no, and a report that a director did not rule one out is not the studio saying yes. Each row below is either the studio’s or a storefront’s own words, or it says that nothing has been said.

When does CONTROL Resonant unlock?
At 14:00 UTC on 24 September 2026 for the digital release. That is 10:00 in New York and 15:00 in London. New Zealand and eastern Australia are already on 25 September by then.
Is there early access?
Only on PlayStation 5, and only with the Digital Deluxe Edition: 48 hours, starting 22 September. Steam and Xbox list no early window.
When can I get the disc?
The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S physical editions, including the Steelbook, follow on 15 October, three weeks after the digital release.
Do I need to play the first CONTROL?
No. The studio's FAQ says both games stand on their own and calls this one an easy entry point.
Is it on Game Pass?
The studio has not said. The Game Pass catalogue does not list it, and Xbox's store lists it with a purchase price.
Is it single-player?
Yes. The studio's FAQ calls it a single-player experience that does not require an internet connection.
Does it work on Steam Deck?
The studio says it will support Steam Deck at launch. Valve's compatibility report has no rating for it yet.
