Launch and dates

When does CONTROL Resonant unlock?
The digital unlock is at 14:00 UTC on 24 September 2026, the same instant on every platform. The studio’s graphic converts that moment city by city. Shown in Steam announcement: Global Launch Times. Your own zone is worked out on the release date page.
What date is it in New Zealand and eastern Australia?
25 September by the clock on the wall. The studio’s graphic marks Sydney at 00:00 and Auckland at 2 AM, and its FAQ says “Release date in New Zealand is September 25.” Stated in Steam discussions: the developer's pinned FAQ. The table of cities is on the release date page.
Is there early access?
On PlayStation 5 only. The Digital Deluxe Edition listing offers 48 hours of early access starting 22 September. Listed on PlayStation Store (UK): CONTROL Resonant Digital Deluxe Edition. The Steam and Xbox listings show only the 24 September release. Details are on the early access page.
When do the physical editions come out?
15 October, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, three weeks after the digital release. A report repeating the studio’s press release gives the date. Repeated in Gaming Trend: Here is your CONTROL Resonant launch trailer. The physical release page explains why the dates split.
Is there a demo or a beta?
The Steam page lists no demo. The studio’s FAQ mentions no beta, so a beta key offered by a stranger is unverified. Not listed on Steam store page (appdetails API). See the demo and beta page.

Buying

Which editions exist?
Steam sells Standard at $59.99 and Digital Deluxe at $69.99, plus a bundle named CONTROL: The Siblings Collection at $98.98 that pairs the first game’s Ultimate Edition with the Resonant Deluxe Edition. What is in the Digital Deluxe Edition?
The game plus a Digital Artbook, the Original Soundtrack, an Untapped Artifact (Wallet), a Starter Resource Bundle and the AWE Mission Outfit. Listed by the developer in Steam discussions: developer reply on the Deluxe Edition and a Season Pass. The editions page sets it against the other versions.
Is there a Collector’s Edition?
The studio’s FAQ says “There are currently no plans for a Collector’s Edition of CONTROL Resonant.” Stated in Steam discussions: the developer's pinned FAQ. The Steelbook Edition is the special physical version that has been listed.
Is there a Season Pass?
The developer says the Deluxe Edition does not include one. Answered in Steam discussions: developer reply on the Deluxe Edition and a Season Pass The studio calls the game a complete experience at launch and has said little else about later content. See DLC and Season Pass.
What did the pre-order bonus include?
The Hiss Corruption Outfit and the Pickpocket’s Tool Artifact on every platform, tied to pre-ordering. Listed on Steam store page (appdetails API). The PlayStation Store pages add an Occult Outfit. Listed on PlayStation Store (US): CONTROL Resonant. The pre-order bonus page has the platform split.
Is there an NVIDIA bundle?
NVIDIA’s offer includes a Steam copy with the purchase of a qualifying GeForce RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti or 5070, redeemed through the NVIDIA app while supplies last. Set out by NVIDIA: CONTROL Resonant GeForce RTX 50 Series bundle Conditions are on the NVIDIA bundle page.

Platforms

Which platforms is it on?
The FAQ says “CONTROL Resonant will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), and GeForce NOW.” Stated in Steam discussions: the developer's pinned FAQ. The Mac version is listed for later, with no date given. The platforms page lists what each store says.
Is it on Game Pass?
The studio has not said whether it will be on Game Pass, and the Game Pass catalogue does not list it. Listed in Game Pass catalogue API: All Games. See the Game Pass page.
Is there a Switch 2 version?
The studio’s platform list does not include Nintendo Switch 2. One report says the game’s director did not rule it out in an interview. Reported by Gamemag.ru on Steam news: a report on a Switch 2 interview. The Switch 2 page separates the two.
Does it work on Steam Deck?
The studio’s FAQ says “Yes. CONTROL Resonant will support Steam Deck at launch.” Stated in Steam discussions: the developer's pinned FAQ. A Steam Deck rating is Valve’s to assign, and the Steam Deck page shows where that stands.

PC

What are the PC requirements?
The studio publishes six tiers. The minimum is 1080p at 30 fps on a GTX 1070 class card, the recommended tier is 1440p at 60 fps on an RTX 3060 Ti class card, and the path tracing tier asks for an RTX 5080. Does it use Denuvo?
The Steam page shows no DRM notice, and a missing notice is not an answer either way. No notice on Steam store page (appdetails API). The Denuvo page keeps that open.
How many languages does it have?
15 languages, of which 8 have full spoken audio: English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Spanish (Spain). Shown in Steam announcement: launch languages revealed. The rest are on the languages page.

Playing and story

Is it single-player, and does it need to be online?
The FAQ says “CONTROL Resonant is a single-player experience and does not require an internet connection to play.” Stated in Steam discussions: the developer's pinned FAQ. Co-op and platform services are on the multiplayer page.
Do I need to play the first CONTROL?
The studio’s FAQ says “No. Both games stand on their own” and calls this one an easy entry point. Stated in Steam discussions: the developer's pinned FAQ. What the first game still gives you is on the play Control first page.
Who can I play as?
Dylan Faden, and only Dylan. The studio calls him “our only playable character” while Jesse remains central to the story. Said in Steam announcement: the release date announcement. Read about Dylan and Jesse Faden.
How long is the game?
The studio puts the main story at 25 to 35 hours, with more for completionists. Written in PlayStation Blog: Control Resonant: PS5 features detailed. Reviewer clocks sit alongside it on how long to beat.
Is it open world?
The studio says it is not an open-world game but is built around large, distinct zones with side activities. Said in PlayStation Blog: New gameplay details on Control Resonant's supernatural action. The open world page sets that beside what reviewers call it.
Can I change the difficulty?
The game does not use Easy, Normal or Hard. Assist Mode is a panel of sliders and switches that can make the game easier or harder, set per save slot. Described in Steam announcement: How We Built CONTROL Resonant's Expanded Assist Mode. The difficulty page shows the screens.
