CONTROL Resonant editions compared: five ways to buy
Two digital editions, two boxed editions and one Steam bundle carry the game. The Digital Deluxe Edition is the only one that adds digital extras, and it costs $69.99 against $59.99 for Standard.

What the Digital Deluxe Edition adds
- Digital Artbook and Original Soundtrack. Both are named on the studio’s Deluxe list. Listed in Steam discussions: the developer's pinned FAQ
- Untapped Artifact (Wallet). The studio uses the word untapped for an Artifact found in the world and then crafted in the Gap. Term used in Steam announcement: New Game+ Detailed The Deluxe listing does not say whether the Wallet arrives ready to equip. The Artifact system is explained on the pre-order bonus page.
- Starter Resource Bundle. The listing names the item and gives no quantities. What none of the editions includes
The studio’s reply on the Deluxe Edition is short: “The Deluxe Edition does not include a season pass.” Stated in Steam discussions: developer reply on the Deluxe Edition and a Season Pass What the studio has said about later content is collected on the DLC and Season Pass page.
The FAQ also answers the collector’s question: “There are currently no plans for a Collector’s Edition of CONTROL Resonant.” Stated in Steam discussions: the developer's pinned FAQ The Steelbook Edition is a separate product, described on its own page. The word Ultimate belongs to the first game: the Steam bundle’s contents list names Control Ultimate Edition, which is that game’s edition, and not a version of Resonant. Which one fits
- You want to play before the world does, on PlayStation 5. Only the Digital Deluxe Edition carries the early window, and only on that console. Details are on the early access page.
- You want the digital extras. The Deluxe Edition adds the items listed above for $10.00 over Standard on the storefronts that sell both.
- You want a disc. Standard physical or the Steelbook, both from 15 October; see the physical release page.
- You also want the first game on Steam. The Steam bundle pairs it with the Deluxe Edition. The studio says the two games stand on their own, so buying the first one is a choice and not a requirement. Stated in Steam discussions: the developer's pinned FAQ See the Play Control first page.
